Since 1992 our organization has operated with a small staff and low overhead costs as a result of a highly qualified Board, an active Board Committee structure, and contracting with outside professional property management companies.

Darcy Phillips Darcy Phillips, Executive Director    Email me

Darcy Phillips is a native Oregonian, living in Eugene since 1994. Her experience with nonprofit organizations is a valuable addition to Cornerstone Community Housing. Darcy’s strong devotion to nonprofit work is a result of the eight years spent as the Director of Children and Families at Eugene Christian Fellowship coupled with her volunteer and advocacy work for CASA of Lane County. Her most recent work for Holt International in Marketing and Development, included donor relations and fundraising surrounding a robust sustaining donor program. While she remains passionate about international causes, she is excited to shift her attention to the needs of Lane County as she feels a deep connection to the community.

Jill has been with Cornerstone for nine years as Finance Director and has worked in the world of affordable housing for eighteen years. She played a supportive role in housing development increasing Cornerstone’s housing portfolio by 222 new units. She is currently lead in the goal of adding 34 more units to Cornerstone’s portfolio in new and rehabbed construction. Jill has two wonderful grandbabies and enjoys traveling to see them often. She loves the natural wonders of the world and exploring diverse landscapes.

Michelle has been with Cornerstone Community Housing for over ten years and has her BA in Planning, Public Policy and Management from the University of Oregon. Michelle has written and executed over half a million in grants and foundation projects with the City of Eugene, Meyer Memorial Trust, Oregon Housing and Community Services, and the Oregon Health Authority. She enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, canning and preserving foods, and camping.

Carrie is a graduate from Western Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Education, and minors in Spanish and Chemistry. She has worked in nonprofits for over 15 years’, which includes, youth development, job training, food banking and education. She has extensive experience in the development, coordination, and execution of complex public and private projects involving multiple and diverse stakeholder interests. As Program Director, Carrie manages and oversees the Cornerstone Resident Services Program and Health and Housing teams.

Amy Cubbage joins our team as a recent graduate from University of Oregon. She received a Masters degree in Nonprofit Management with a concentration on Community Development. Her experience includes a role as Director of Programs and Volunteer Engagement for Habitat for Humanity of the Mid-Willamette Valley, where she directly supervised 20 volunteers and managed affordable homeownership programs. She also served as Undergraduate Advisory and Program Assistant at the Department of Planning, Public Policy and Management for the University of Oregon. Amy has an amazing background of internships at various organizations like St. Vincent de Paul and the North Pennsylvania United Way. Her skills and passion for working in non-profits with a mission to help individuals thrive is clearly evident and we are pleased to welcome her to the Cornerstone team.

Guinevere has been with Cornerstone Community Housing since January of 2012, previously having worked for many years with Resident Services programing at other non-profits in Eugene. She oversees the Resident Services Coordinators and ACCESS programs, volunteers, collaborative partnerships, and program development. Guinevere’s number one love is her family and she is also busy with camping, swimming, hiking and enjoying the beautiful Oregon sunshine.

Megan Falkenstein joined Cornerstone in 2014. She is a Eugene native and received a Bachelor of Arts in Planning, Public Policy and Management at the University of Oregon. Her studies led her to realize a true passion for fundraising, events planning and marketing. She loves her community and has spent the last ten years working and volunteering with local area nonprofits that build a strong and vibrant sense of place for all. When not at work, Megan can be found enjoying live music at one of the many venues in town and out in the wild Oregon forests and desert exploring!

Anna has been with Cornerstone Community Housing since July 2015 and received a BA in Social Science with a concentration on Policy, Environment, and Globalization from the University of Oregon. She spent several months as a volunteer intern working with Cornerstone Resident Services Coordinators before joining the Cornerstone team full-time. Anna has lived in Eugene since 2011 and has a deep appreciation for the Pacific Northwest's beauty, food, and culture, is an animal lover, and is the proud owner of two rescue kitties.

Iris graduated with honors from the University of Oregon with her Bachelor of Arts in Women and Gender Studies, and a minor in Anthropology. Iris is a certified Doula and co-founder of Doula’s Supporting Teens (DST), now known as Oregon Doula Connection, where she spent six years as a Program & Development Director. Her most recent experience includes three years at the Bethel Health Center working in a role of Mental Health Coordinator, Student Program Coordinator and providing support with grant budgets, data collection, and special projects such as transitioning from paper charts to electronic medical records. She also enjoys traveling, and spent nearly a year in Sayulita, Mexico with her family where she worked as a teacher assistant in a kindergarten classroom. Iris brings extensive knowledge of local community networks, resources, and working with families. She will work to develop systems integration and health worker programs linking healthcare and affordable housing in collaboration with United Way and the partners of the Early Learning Alliance in Lane County.

Liz  received her B.A. in English and her Post-Baccalaureate in Communication Disorders and Sciences. She has spent the past several years working with children from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Liz is passionate about children and families and helping them reach their unique goals. Liz loves Oregon adventures with her partner and their dog Barley, you can find her snowboarding in the winters and gardening in the warm summer months.

Sarah Fischer has a Bachelor of Arts from Concordia University in Quebec, Canada. She is fully fluent in Spanish and brings a variety of skills and talents to our team. Sarah applied for the Food Justice Internship but before even starting, a new position opened up at Cornerstone that Sarah was a perfect match for. Her previous roles and experience include working as a Program Designer, Crew Leader at Northwest Youth Corps, and Gardening Manager and Educator. She also has a background of volunteer experience including cooking and delivering meals to low income seniors and families. Sarah brings her passion around gardening and her experience working with communities to the team and is already designing programs and expanding our community garden partnerships.

Jessica graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in Ethnic Studies and concentrations in Political Movements, Social Economics, Community and Environment, and Race Relations. She spent the last 5 years working with people who have severe and persistent mental illness and preparing them for transition back into the community. Jessica is a Central Oregon transplant who fell in love with Eugene and loves to be outside or spending time with her dog.

Luke Toyosi Luke Toyosi, Van Driver

Luke is a current Lane Community College student. He supports Cornerstone's Resident Services programs like Extra Helping in partnership with Food for Lane County, Get Motivated, and Active Teens.
